Very tasty and fresh Italian. BYOB with a liquor store right there so low cost too on the drinks. Their outdoors setup is nice with parking spots converted and covered so you can have lunch or dine even if it's raining. Option to offer a meal to people in need on the menu so you can also do good while eating there if you choose. I would go back for sure. Service could be a bit more attentive but was nice.
I had the lobster ravioli. Sauce was perfectly light and creamy. Food preparation and presentation was fantastic. The amount and quality of food was disappointing—I expected a lobster, not a larger than average shrimp. The dish also had 4 pieces of ravioli—I didn’t come for an expensive snack. I left unsatisfied. Don’t waste your money—this can be easily cooked in your homes at cheaper costs with better ingredients.
Just started working at La Mezzaluna on Monday and I am truly impressed with the love, care, and talent that each one of the workers and chefs have. The energy that comes from these individuals is uplifting, inviting, and comforting. The food is made carefully with love and the presentation/taste can attest for that. Michael, the owner, implements pieces of Italy (his home country) into his restaurant through providing meals for people in need, similarly to how Italian bars (equivalent to American coffee shops) apply a system of buying a cup of coffee for an individual in need. Genuine people, genuine & delicious food, genuine wine, quite a fine time. :)!
